Prior to placing a porcelain crown, a root canal procedure may be required to clear infection from the tooth’s roots and pack them with sealing material. Because Dr. Van Hoose has expertise in endodontics, this procedure is normally completed in our office, although very complex cases may need referral to a root canal specialist, called an “endodontist.”
