Edward D. Kosakoski D.M.D. Endodontist

Dr. Kosakoski grew up in Miami, FL, as the first born of six children. He attended the University of South Carolina on a Navy ROTC Scholarship and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1973. He was immediately commissioned an Ensign in the U.S. Navy and received his first choice of orders - Underwater Demolition/SEAL training at the Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado, CA. Dr. Kosakoski served as a Naval Special Warfare officer/SEAL from 1975 to 1982 with tours of duty at Underwater Demolition Team Twelve, SEAL Team One, the Naval Amphibious School, Coronado, as a Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL instructor, and the Joint Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, N.C. Dr. Kosakoski resigned his regular commission as a naval officer in August 1982 and entered the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, FL. He graduated with his DMD in 1986 and rejoined the Navy as a Dental Corps officer. He completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Naval Hospital, Great Lakes, IL, in the Chicago area in 1987, and an Endodontic Residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD, in 1997. While a member of the Naval Dental Corps, Dr. Kosakoski served tours of duty at Camp Pendleton, CA, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, the Naval Training Center in Orlando, a one year assignment to Bahrain in the Persian Gulf, the Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, IL, and the National Naval Dental Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Kosakoski retired from the Navy in 1999 and developed a very successful endodontic practice in San Diego. He relocated to his home state of Florida in 2012 and practiced in Stuart and Port St. Lucie before joining Smile Design. Dr. Kosakoski enjoys all things outdoors and on the water, especially fishing, sailing, scuba diving, winter ski trips, and top down "road tripping" wherever the road may lead. He follows most sports but especially the Florida Gators! He has a love for music, especially "live music", and is an avid concert attendee.

Jim Buckley D.M.D.

Dr. Jim Buckley is originally from Harrisburg, PA. He received a BSED in Biology from West Chester University in 1992, moved to FL in 1995, and graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Buckley's passion for dentistry includes all aspects of General Dentistry with an emphasis on the esthetic outcomes. Dr. Buckley believes that even "single tooth dentistry" should be beautiful and functional. Dr. Buckley is comfortable with all the latest aspects of adhesive dentistry that include, metal free crowns and bridges, porcelain veneers, inlays and onlays, as well as tooth colored fillings. Dr. Buckley is an INVISALIGN and Six Month Smiles certified provider and trained in the restoration of dental implants. His emphasis on total health and education results in healthy mouths with beautiful smiles that last a lifetime.

Gaurang “Gary” Nanavati D.D.S.

Dr. Gary Nanavati is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Prior to that he did his undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida. Dr. Gary believes in providing comprehensive dental care for the patients. Over the past 8 years, Dr. Gary has taken over 500 hours of Continuing Education Credits ranging in specialties from Endodontics, Orthodontics, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Dental Implants.

Dr. Gary strongly believes that by being trained in different fields of dentistry he can make a better treatment decision for the patient and perform better and longer lasting dentistry.

Currently Dr. Gary lives in Lutz with his wife and three kids. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his kids, traveling and playing golf.

Dorothy Theogene D.D.S.

Dr. Dorothy Theogene is a Board Certified Pediatric dentist who was born and raised in South Florida. She is a proud Florida gator, graduating with honors from the University of Florida as a double major in Zoology and Food Science Human nutrition. Dr. Theogene earned her dental degree from Howard University located in Washington, DC. She continued her training at Howard University two additional years to earn her specialty certificate in Pediatric dentistry.

Her practice philosophy is to provide comprehensive, compassionate, & gentle pediatric dental services that leads to a positive experience for both the parent(s) and patient.

She enjoys spending quality time with her family, participating in community outreach projects including international dental mission trips and traveling.
